You do NOT have to continue eating only grilled chicken and asparagus while dieting. Here is a perfect example of a healthy post workout meal that can be customized for anyone's macro-nutrient needs. I used 100% whole wheat Kodiak Cake mix which has no added sugar, cholesterol, or fat. Mix one scoop of unflavored whey isolate protein, a few shakes of cinnamon, 1-2 tbs of pure cocoa powder, very small amount of Stevie to enhance flavor, mix with water and boom done. Some sugar free syrup to top and a banana on the side.
This meal is under 10 grams of fat, over 40 grams protein and has a ton of slow/moderate digesting carbohydrates to refuel you after a hard grueling workout. So PLEASE people! Be open minded and realize that getting fit is a lifestyle and no one should have to eat strictly grilled chicken and brown rice for the rest of their lives. That's not realistic! So why set yourself up for failure? Give these a try and measure them accordingly to hit your macronutrients for pre / post workout!
